Louis Vuitton Collection Cruise 2017 at The Peak Room

Photography by myself

It’s amazing how quickly time has flown this September, such that in the blink of an eye, Paris Fashion Week is already in full swing and the latest in beauty are ushering October in with their signature autumnal palettes. It seems like just yesterday I was invited for the first time, to view the Louis Vuitton Collection Cruise 2017 on Sept 1st by my dearest friend Renee of Paper Doll at The Peak Room.

Leave it to LV to throw an atmospheric party complete with dim, garish lighting, unobtrusive music, platter after platter of hors d’oeuvres, champange, and to top it all off, a celebratory-bartender-cum-genius drink-mixer so we could all stand about getting tipsy on quality cocktails with fancy names as we took in the new scents of Louis Vuitton. There is nothing that elevates a party more successfully than the latest designer fashion wear and bags splayed out on mini platforms, mannequins and clothing racks, and two models of both Asian and Western descent parading around all night dressed head to toe in various renditions of the collection. Bright colors inspired by the Rio games were definitely in this season, together with sleek, nautical skintight dress silhouettes reminiscent of scuba-diving suits and slits up to there.

My only regret was not taking enough pictures of the models in the various garb; the clothes sat seamlessly on the bodies and despite being statement pieces, certainly did not compromise on the comfort.

Louis Vuitton has also released a new range of Horizon travel luggages, most definitely taking traveling in comfort and style to the next level, and a delightfully unique line of fragrances: Rose Des Vents, Turbulences, Dans La Peau, Apogee and Contre Moi. It would be hard to pick a favorite as all of them were divine, but Dans La Peau and Turbulences were especially good in my opinion.
