A dandy flair, immaculate hair, bright scarf, suede ankle boots and a miniskirt are my way of paying tribute to the 60s mod trend. Neoclassical architecture belonging to the National Museum of Singapore standing idly by serves as the perfectly curated backdrop, being the oldest museum in the country with origins dating back to 1887. Despite mod fashion embracing loud colors and bold patterns, I have decided against a flamboyant, colorful editorial and gone all out in true vintage style with black and white.
While combining vintage fashion and architectural design built centuries ago with typical postmodernist aplomb, the irony that this look could be a true representation of more than a single time period did not fail to escape me…
