Lighthouse by the Sea

I’ve always nurtured a deep love of whimsical escapades, and hopefully in time my dream of exploring new places and discovering fairy-tale locations to shoot in will come true.

I must declare that is this hands down, my favorite shoot of all time. The location is so whimsical, I never dared to imagine a place like this existed in Singapore until I came across The Smart Local’s post. It is at times like these that I am incredibly grateful for the support of local blogging communities when it comes to discovering genius locations in Singapore. As our country is incredibly small, it is wonderful to know that every time a hidden gem is found, helpful bloggers will take to the internet to share them with the world.

I’ve always nurtured a deep love of whimsical escapades, and hopefully in time my dream of exploring new places and discovering fairy-tale locations to shoot in will come true. All I’ve ever wanted is to travel and discover picturesque locations across the world, melding fashion with nature or architecture with the help of a talented artist behind a lens. I’ve recently been bitten by the travel bug at the same time I rekindled my love for tumblr, and have taken to posting beautiful images of exotic locations my friends and family have traveled to on Instagram. Follow me on Instagram while I post more from behind the lens of @tianniely and @little_raindrops detailing their beautiful adventures in Persia and Tokyo, Japan. While it may still take some time for me to have that sort of freedom and power to travel wherever I want to at any time, it is a small step in the right direction to share the visuals of these places on my social media and to create elaborate fashion shoots there in my mind. I am looking forward to future adventures in unknown places in 2016, and not to mention the little getaway I’m jetting off to at the end of 2015…

Love the skirt in this look, especially style with a crop top! How did you manage to get the entire lighthouse and yourself so large in that photo?! That’s awesome. Can’t imagine how far you had to place your camera. Love the angle you took it from – makes you look lean and tall πŸ™‚ And the shadows in that photo of you against the lighthouse with the blue railing are so pretty.

Haha yes the camera was on the ground, and it basically was a blind shot as my photographer couldn’t look through the eye hole. This shot was actually inspired by one of Gary Pepper Girl’s shoots! Credit to Luke Shadbolt for being so innovative. πŸ™‚ And thank you Yasmin!

Oh that’s great that the local blogging community by you is so helpful. The support from the community is so important and so strong. It makes a lot of the tougher parts of blogging well worth it. I hope to explore the world more extensively one day and I hope you do too!

I have not been to SG yet and it’s definitely on my next to go place, but with your post I need to buy a ticket right now! πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to see where you go next in 2016 and your end of year trip! I’m also going to have to comb through your posts when I go!

I’m actually going to Hong Kong in approximately a month! I am way too excited for that trip!!! Singapore has many little gems hidden away apart from the hustle and bustle of the main city highlights. I’d be happy to recommend a few spots to you!

Wonderful photos, that first shot is perfection (impressive how your photographer managed to capture the full lighthouse!).
You look so chic, I especially love your skirt! So cool and considerate to share shooting locations – I really want to go to Singapore, hopefully one day soon; it might be a small country, but it looks amazing!

Awww I’d be happy to recommend places to eat and visit if you do decide to make a trip over! Because we are so small, it’s very convenient for satisfying all your needs in one place. Thank you so much for your kind words!

What a beautiful location to shoot outfit photos and that skirt is absolutely breathtaking. Oh and I always have the travel bug even though I am actually quite blessed with traveling quite regularly. I also love that feeling of coming back to my home after a long trip – it’s working out that perfect balance that is key πŸ™‚

In my ideal situation, I would be traveling and living at home in equal amounts! I love home, being the homebody that I am, but traveling definitely is educational and inspiring for the mind and soul! Thank you Rae!
