It’s no secret I love using nature as a backdrop, as there is something wonderfully soothing in immersing myself in a lush, green landscape, a feeling that’s out of the world magical. As stated before numerous times in the past, I love escaping to a place where I can feel safety and security even without the company of humans.
Fortunately, Singapore has a number of large parks, some of which preserve a special part of our history with them. Kent Ridge Park, today’s shoot locale, is a significant landmark in the period of World War II where one of the bravest battles was fought. It being only a stone’s throw from the National University of Singapore where my sister used to study, it was her who introduced the serenity of its winding paths, lakes and views to me. Despite a lack of time to come here as often as I wish, the times I sought peace in the beauty of its nature never disappointed me.
Next time you are in the area, I urge you to drop by to bask in the greenery with only the sounds of the wildlife for company.
