Singapore has a large number of architectural landmarks despite its miniscule size, and thanks to that I have been fortunate enough to visit all of them with ease, Henderson Waves being one of the most magnificent in my opinion. A visually arresting and aesthetically intriguing structure that blends into a lush nature landscape on both ends, this modern spectacle is made up of long wooden slates that connect one end of Mother Nature to another.

It is an incredibly beautiful and soothing journey to walk upon these endless rows of planks of wood, looking down upon the oncoming traffic below as well as the jungle on both sides. It was no wonder that when I arrived here early one Saturday morning for this particular shoot, it was packed with people on morning hikes/runs and numerous photographers, including a group of students eager to photograph their graduation pictures! Henderson Waves is a popular spot, its visitor numbers only increasing during the evenings due to the breathtaking sunset view. I definitely recommend romantic sunset walks here on weekdays, if you haven’t yet visted this gem in Singapore.

It is beautiful! Scouting for shoot locations is never easy, fortunately as Singapore is so small, it’s easy to get around.
